1. Exercise and work out: wow, this one thing has such impact on your life, especially if you are a teenage boy. It makes you feel better. It improves your confidence. It makes you more attractive. It makes you better at sports. You get the picture.
  2. Learn to fight: take martial arts, not so you can go beat people up, but so that you can protect yourself. Being scared of getting your ass kicked sucks. Being able to protect yourself drives self confidence and pretty much guarantees that you will never have to be in a fight. Also, the discipline you will learn will make your life better in every area.
  3. Don’t try to be cool: trying to be cool makes you look like a fool. Just be a good person. Treat people with respect. Do all the thingsĀ Dale Carnegie tells you inĀ How to Win Friends and Influence People.
  4. Be a good friend: you need to be a good friend if you want to have friends. Friendship is based on giving more than you receive.
  5. Study: heck, just do your homework and you’ll get straight A’s. This will get you in with the scholars. It will get you into a good college. You will need it for scholarships.
  6. Play sports: let’s face it, you are an athlete. This is something you should love doing. Also, it will help you make friends (jocks are cool) and help with scholarships.
  7. Ask her out: yes, that girl is flirting with you. It doesn’t mean that she is in love with you, but it does mean that she wants to investigate whether you are someone she wants to date. Step up and be a man. Talk to her. Flirt. Ask her out.
  8. Date lots of people: don’t worry about getting serious. You are way too young to be exclusive. I’m not saying play the field, I’m just saying meet lots of people, date lots of girls, enjoy your youth, and figure out what you like (and don’t like) in a girl.
  9. Set goals: goal setting is magical. If you do it right, it gives your life direction and good things start to happen. Instead of aimlessly floating you get to direct how your life will grow and improve.
  10. Like yourself and be confident: you are a great person and should be proud. No one is like you. No one is better or worse than you. Stand tall and be confident.
